2D DnD V.1 Level Design and Feedback

What went wrong?
  • The first level I made was a bit too small and confined. There should be more room to move around and explore.
  • There was a side of the map that you couldn't pass through so I must make more open areas.
  • Other than those two main things, we were supposed to make a working game maze level and I completed completed my vision of what I wanted done.
What went right?
  • This level was very simple and easy to navigate. The gates that guard the water is untouchable so it adds a bit of character and a taste of some untouchable zones.
  • The fashion of grabbing coins as you go and hunting for the last coin added a bit of challenge to an otherwise slow moving linear level.
  • The game was easy to navigate and the play testers thought it was very fun to play.

What to improve on?
  • Next time when we are able to add more components like enemies or health, I can be a little more dynamic with how the game plays out but currently it can only be very linear.
  • I can expand the level a bit more and leave more room for exploration and coin hunting to add more game play elements and enhance the experience as a whole.
